City National Corporation is a bank holding and a financial holding company. It focuses on providing individuals and entrepreneurs, their businesses and their families with financial solutions. The Company provides a range of banking, investing and trust services to its clients through its wholly owned banking subsidiary, City National Bank (the Bank). The Bank operates through 54 offices, including 12 full-service regional centers, in Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City. The Company has two segments: Commercial and Private Banking, and Other. The Other segment comprises all subsidiaries, wealth management services and the portion of corporate departments allocated to the operating segments other than Commercial and Private Banking. The Bank's principal client base comprises small to mid-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals and individuals. In March 2007, the Company completed the acquisition of Business Bank Corporation.
